MPHOME Hodgkin's (Hodgkin's disease)-SYMPTÔM

Symptoms
swollen ganglion (s): Most often, the first sign of Hodgkin's disease is an easily palpable swelling of one or more lymph nodes at the neck, armpit or, more rarely, the groin. Usually these swellings are not painful.

Swelling of the lymph nodes between the two lungs (mediastinum) is also possible. This can lead to symptoms such as, for example, a feeling of oppression or pain in the sternum area.

swollen lymph nodes may also be due to other causes, such as infection. In this case, it often absorbed spontaneously after a certain period of time. When such swelling persists for more than a month, it is necessary to consult your doctor.

Hodgkin's disease is sometimes associated with one or more of the following symptoms:

Alternation between periods of fever surge and normal temperature
Loss of weight or lack of appetite
Strong fatigue for no apparent reason
Abundant sweating, especially at night
Itching all over the body
In some patients, symptoms appear from the onset of the disease. In others, they only show up later, if ever, and swelling of the lymph nodes is the only anomaly found.

The symptoms mentioned may, however, also appear when no swelling of a lymph node is (yet) palpable. None of these anomalies is automatically a sign of Hodgkin's disease. Fever, high fatigue and abundant sweats can, for example, occur during a flu. But if these symptoms persist, it is necessary to be examined by your doctor.
